Please read these Terms of Use ("Terms", "Terms of Use") carefully before using the Localmere website and styling services (the "Service") operated by Localmere ("us", "we", "our").

Your access to and use of the Service is conditioned upon your acceptance of and compliance with these Terms. These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who wish to access or use the Service.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of the terms, then you do not have permission to access the Service.

1. Services

Localmere provides personal styling services for men, including but not limited to virtual consultations, in-person styling sessions, wardrobe edits, capsule wardrobe creation, seasonal refreshes, personal shopping, and corporate styling packages. The specific details, scope, and pricing of each service are outlined on our website and in service agreements provided to clients.

2. Appointments and Bookings

When booking our services, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate and complete information for your booking
  • Arrive punctually for scheduled appointments
  • Provide at least 48 hours' notice for cancellations or rescheduling

Cancellation Policy: Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice may be subject to a cancellation fee of 50% of the service cost. No-shows or cancellations with less than 24 hours' notice may be charged the full service fee.

3. Payments and Refunds

Payment terms:

  • A 50% deposit is required to secure bookings for most services
  • The remaining balance is due upon completion of services
  • Corporate programs may have custom payment terms as outlined in specific agreements
  • All prices are in GBP and include applicable VAT

Refund Policy: We strive to provide exceptional service. If you are dissatisfied with our services, please contact us within 7 days of service completion. Refunds are considered on a case-by-case basis and may be offered as service credits, partial refunds, or full refunds depending on the circumstances.

4. Communications

By creating an account or providing your contact information, you agree to receive communications from us, which may include:

  • Appointment confirmations and reminders
  • Service-related communications
  • Follow-up communications regarding your styling experience
  • Marketing communications (subject to your consent and preferences)

You can opt out of marketing communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions included in our emails or by contacting us directly.

5. Intellectual Property

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Localmere and its licensors. The Service is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws of both the United Kingdom and foreign countries.

Our trademarks and trade dress may not be used in connection with any product or service without the prior written consent of Localmere.

Styling Materials: The styling guides, lookbooks, and other materials created for you as part of our services are for your personal use only. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use these materials for commercial purposes without our express written permission.

6. User Content and Privacy

Our Service may allow you to post, link, store, share, and otherwise make available certain information, text, graphics, videos, or other material ("User Content"). By providing User Content to us (such as photos for styling purposes), you grant us the right to use, modify, publicly perform, publicly display, reproduce, and distribute such content on and through the Service.

You agree that this license includes the right for us to make your User Content available to other users of the Service, who may also use your User Content subject to these Terms.

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and disclose information about you.

7. Limitations of Liability

In no event shall Localmere, nor its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

  • Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the Service;
  • Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service;
  • Any content obtained from the Service; and
  • Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content,

whether based on warranty, contract, tort (including negligence), or any other legal theory, whether or not we have been informed of the possibility of such damage.

Our liability is limited to the maximum extent permitted by law. In jurisdictions where the exclusion or limitation of liability for consequential or incidental damages is not permitted, our liability shall be limited to the maximum extent permitted by law.

8. Service-Specific Terms

Personal Shopping Services

For personal shopping services, you understand and agree that:

  • We act as your consultant and not as a purchasing agent
  • All purchases are made directly by you from retailers
  • We are not responsible for defective merchandise, returns, or exchanges
  • We do not receive commissions from retailers for your purchases
  • You are responsible for all costs of merchandise purchased

Virtual Consultations

For virtual consultation services, you understand and agree that:

  • You are responsible for having adequate technology and internet connection
  • Sessions may be recorded with your consent for reference purposes
  • Materials provided digitally are subject to the same intellectual property restrictions as physical materials

Corporate Services

For corporate styling services, additional terms may apply as outlined in specific corporate agreements. These may include terms related to confidentiality, intellectual property, and usage rights for corporate styling guidelines.

9. Disclaimer

Your use of the Service is at your sole risk. The Service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or course of performance.

Localmere, its subsidiaries, affiliates, and licensors do not warrant that:

  • The Service will function uninterrupted, secure, or available at any particular time or location;
  • Any errors or defects will be corrected;
  • The Service is free of viruses or other harmful components; or
  • The results of using the Service will meet your requirements.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these Terms will remain in effect.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. What constitutes a material change will be determined at our sole discretion.

By continuing to access or use our Service after any revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, you are no longer authorized to use the Service.
